Project Interior Designer

ROLE OVERVIEW

Every great project team has someone who keeps the moving parts in motion — organized, reliable, and always three steps ahead. The Project Associate at Hurray is that person, supporting the delivery of ultra luxury residential and premium commercial design projects. This role is built for emerging professionals who want to grow inside a firm that takes design seriously — where every day is a masterclass and every project is something worth being proud of.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Project Managers and Interior Designers/Architects with day-to-day project coordination and communication

  • Prepare and submit complete and accurate project documentation (drawings, BOQs, presentations, reports) aligned with project timelines

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and vendors to track deliveries, schedules, and site activities

  • Conduct site visits and inspections as required by the project - Document site conditions through photos, measurements, and observations

  • Manage sample requests, material submittals, and product specification files across active projects

  • Assist in preparing client-facing presentation materials, design packages, and proposals

  • Track project budget expenditures and flag variances to the Project Manager in real time

  • Handle all project-related administrative tasks — filing, correspondence, scheduling — with initiative

  • Attend industry trade events,product and brand launches

Schematic Design:

  • Develop schematic design outputs including layouts, mood boards, and initial concepts

  • Ensure all designs are aligned with the client brief, brand identity, and project objectives

  • Participate in design discussions and presentations, incorporating feedback effectively

  • Support the team in refining concepts with creative and practical solutions

  • Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently, ensuring minimal design iterations

  • Maintain consistency across all design outputs and presentations


FF&E:

  • Prepare detailed FF&E schedules and specifications, ensuring accuracy in materials, dimensions, and supplier details

  • Validate all selections against design intent, budget, and technical requirements

  • Ensure all FF&E documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for procurement

  • Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, samples, production timelines, and delivery schedules

  • Track all FF&E items to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with project schedule

  • Address discrepancies or issues related to FF&E and escalate as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS & TOOLS

  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

  • AI productivity tools — ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent for documentation, scheduling, and coordination support

  • Familiarity with SketchUp or entry-level 3D tools is an advantage

  • Strong organizational instincts and a detail-oriented mindset

  • Clear, professional communication — written and verbal

  • Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and the resilience to thrive under pressure

  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • High verbal and written communication skills — able to express ideas clearly, professionally, and persuasively across all levels of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field

  • 0–3 years of relevant experience — strong internship exposure is welcomed and valued

  • Active/Updated PRC License for Interior Design

  • A genuine passion for design environments and the ambition to grow within one
